LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE IN GYM INSTRUCTING
The Level 2 Gym Instructor course will provide you with a platform to enter the fitness industry. By completing this CIMSPA recognised course, you can pursue a career in the fitness industry as a Gym Instructor in the UK or Internationally and potentially earn an annual salary of £20K at a minimum depending on hours and location.
- The key principles of exercise, fitness, and health, including the components, principles, and variables of fitness, the health, and benefits of physical activity, and the importance of healthy eating.
- Anatomy and physiology of the human body and how this relates to exercise and health, including postural and core stability.
- Effective working relationships with clients, how to provide ongoing customer services, and how to support clients to adhere to exercise/physical activity.
- That gym instructors need to maintain health, safety, and welfare in a fitness environment, including the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.
- Plan and prepare a gym based exercise programme for adults with both individuals and groups.

QUALIFICATION STRUCTURE

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
A suitable Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (Gym) qualification or equivalent.

INTRODUCTION
This qualification is designed to provide learners with an understanding of the legal and professional requirements of a group cycling instructor. Learners are provided with an understanding of the key concepts of studio cycling and how technology can be used in studio cycling sessions. Learners are also provided with the knowledge and skills to be able to plan, prepare and deliver safe and effective group studio cycling sessions.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Learners must hold a suitable Level 2 fitness instructing qualification, for example:

As IGR are currently working on a roll on roll of basis you can start your course as soon as soon as you have paid for the course and completed the enrolment form
You will receive an interactive webinar induction which will give you a detailed understanding about how to start your course and give you a chance to ask any questions you have about the course
To become a personal trainer fitness is not essential but helps if you have prior experience of being in a gym/fitness environment but if its something you want to get into then let us know and we will be happy to assist you
In the course description we have outlined the time that courses can be completed in at a bare minimum but as you will be self studying the more work you get done without delays, the quicker you can receive certification
There are many different training providers who offer similar courses, however IGR is a well established fitness brand in the west midlands who have years of experience in the fitness industry and are still fully active in it so we can provide learners with the right training and resources to ensure they get off to a flying start once qualified in their chosen subject
As learning is online anybody located at any location in the UK can sign up to a IGR course, however arrangements for practical assessments would have to be in place. This could be discussed with your tutor/assessor
